Evaluation of Permanent Passive Flood Barriers

Brooke Threlkeld was an intern at the SFCJPA over the summer of 2024. Her capstone project was an evaluation of Permanent Passive Flood Barriers, which she presented to member agency staff and leadership. Her project highlights several existing, innovative technologies that help address flooding in urban areas without the use of traditional fixed floodwalls.
